A message to our valued Swift Rehabilitation patients regarding COVID-19:
At Swift Rehabilitation, the health and safety of our patients and our employees is always our top priority. Considered an essential critical workforce in managing musculoskeletal conditions by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, our locations will remain open to serve our patients and medical community. If you are suffering aches, acute or chronic pains, sprains, strains or have had to postpone a scheduled surgery, we can see you without a physician’s prescription. This reduces the burden on primary care physicians and orthopedic surgeons, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, frees them up to provide needed services to more acute or critical conditions. In response to COVID-19, we want to reinforce that we take the health and safety of our patients, employees and communities seriously. We are taking extra precautions in our locations and follow CDC, state and local health authority guidelines to protect the health and safety of our patients, staff and community. We are also working alongside our hospital and medical provider partners to provide the best care and communication possible during this time. According to the CDC, the risk to the general population is low but we are using an overabundance of caution to protect the health and safety of our patients, staff and community.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Successful completion of your plan of care is important to becoming a healthier and stronger you. Swift Rehabilitation clinics are open and continue to serve our patients and communities. For the safety of other patients and our team members, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment if you: Have any symptoms of respiratory illness, including fever, cough or difficulty breathing. Have been in contact with someone with known or suspected Coronavirus (COVID-19). Have visited or been in close contact with anyone who has visited in the last 14 days countries/regions that the CDC declares high risk of infection spread.
OUR PRIORITY IS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPY CARE: We have instituted elevated protocols and procedures at all locations to ensure preventative measures are taken to provide a safe environment for our patients and community members to access physical therapy. All staff have been educated in these measures: Screening of all patients prior to each visit Continuous disinfection of all common areas, treatment rooms, gym spaces, bathrooms, door handles, equipment, countertops and electronic devices Frequent hand washing and / or use of alcohol-based sanitizer Cough and sneeze etiquette Having alcohol-based sanitizer readily available to all patients throughout our clinics Emphasis and encouragement of proper hand hygiene among our patients Staff and team members are asked to stay home when ill.
IF YOU FEEL SICK The safety of staff and patients is our highest priority. COVID-19 is a virus that is believed to spread in similar ways as the common cold or flu, such as when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. If you are a current patient and are experiencing any of these symptoms, we ask that you contact your clinic by PHONE and reschedule your appointment. We are waiving any late cancellation fees for respiratory illness-related cancellations.
